Employer Nomination Scheme
Lawfully operating Australian and overseas employers can sponsor and employ skilled workers who have recognised qualifications and skills / or experience in particular occupations required in Australia.
Employer Nomination Scheme
This is a two stage process:
- Approval of employer's nomination
- Nominees application for a vist
Temporary Business Visas (Subclass 457)
This is a temporary visa which is valid from 3 months up to four years.
You should be nominated by an employer and the employer needs to be assessed as a nominating company.
Employer Sponsored Visa (Subclass 121 offshore / Subclass 856 onshore)
These are permanent visas requiring the applicant to be nominated by a company which must apply for approval to be able to nominate employees.
The applicant must have skills assessed for these visas.
Regional Sponsored Visas (Subclass 119 offshore / Subclass 857 onshore)
This is a three stage process:
- Employer's nomination is certified by the authorised regional body
- Approval of employer's nomination
- Nominee's application for a visa
The applicant must have sponsorship by a company in one of the regional areas in Australia. This excludes Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.
